“PEACE BE WITH YOU”, He said again.
”As the Father has sent me, so I send you. (John 20:21)
THE OND IS MISSIONARY
The belief that we are sent and are allowed to participate in the mission of the Church;
the zeal for work and service to the people;
the courage to leave behind families, friends and loved ones;
the acceptance of another culture;
and the cheerfulness to face the difficulties of the mission
are indicative of our missionary zeal.
We enter into the disposition of Mary as disciple whose womanly presence lovingly accompanied Jesus all the way from the Incarnation to the Pentecost event.
As women disciples, our consecrated life is in itself a mission. We actively participate in the proclamation of the Reign of God. Inspired by the Holy Spirit, we dare to respond creatively, in communion with all peoples and in solidarity with the poor, the challenge of restoring the broken relationship with self, others, God and the whole of creation towards the fullness of life – the original blessing of God.
The ministry of Pastoral Catechesis, as the OND primary apostolate, is expressed in varied pastoral ministries in Parishes, Dioceses, Archdioceses, Retreat Center, Schools, Ministries with women, children and the migrants, social ministries, and mission exchange.
Our common quest for God impels us to build a new network of solidarity with people who are in constant struggles of survival. We strive to become a presence that breaks barriers and bridges hope, becoming women of dialogue and reconciliation.
